This was a big paycheck, I did some extra shifts in January so it all got dumped into this paycheck. My medical group contributed a total of $3,265 on my behalf to retirement accounts… awesome!
I got $1,500 taken out of my check for my 401(k) contribution and another little bit for an HSA. I get a match towards my HSA so that’s nice too.
This is the paycheck that helped me achieve my goal of financial independence. I will continue to create a decent sized emergency fund and invest the rest in my taxable investment account.
