Bored of angry social media? Tired of looking at cleavage and people shaking their ass all day?
Well, perhaps what I get flashed on my screen is different from yours. But recently I’ve been having a great time on Substack.

Lock in Your Voice
The longer you share your important opinions online the more authority you build. Especially for those doctors who have future career aspirations.
I’ve mentioned LinkedIn before but for some reason docs don’t like being there.
LI is better than most social media platforms for doctors. It has a very steep learning curve. But if you know how to market yourself there, you’re golden.
Connect With Others
Most of you who’ve sought me out for coaching had one important thing missing – connections.
I’m talking about a network of likeminded doctors or clinicians or healthcare leaders who can vouch for you. Who can push your content.
Nobody thinks they need it until they look at their monthly advertising bill. Then it’s like, “Oh, shit, now I get it.”
All the social media marketing and ads I’ve been putting effort into for my online health coaching practice is nothing in comparison to one solid outreach.
Sharing is Practicing
So, what I don’t do anymore is coach physicians on their careers. I no longer help docs with their medical board investigations. And I no longer sell my beloved online course.
What I do full-time is run my health coaching practice. To do it, I needed to master my pitch. No better place to do it than online.
You’ll learn what to say, what grabs people, and definitely what not to say. You grow thicker skin as bots and infants harass you about cholesterol’s link to heart disease and, of course, what a great diet the carnivore plan is.
Starting Your Online Practice
I’m actually really proud of the last doc I coached to launch his own online psych practice.
But what I learned is that docs hate the process. And they are itching to farm it out which means charlatans are waiting for you like hyenas.
So, thinking about launching your own practice?
- Start now, even if you don’t want to start it now.
- Master your niche. I’m STILL trying to figure that out.
- Build an awesome team.
- Learn where the top of your funnel starts.
- Master pitching and self promoting.
- Figure out your prices – don’t listen to ANYONE about it.
- Be okay with tinkering.
Comment below, where you at, what are you doing. Don’t worry, you can do it anonymously.
PS: My Medical Board Shit Update
Well, I’ve tried from time to time to land a quick gig here and there to get some more in-person practice but it’s usually a no-go.
Once they know you’ve had a medical board investigation, much less a 30-day license suspension, LEPER!!
That’s okay. My wife been making $200+/hr and loves her job. Even if my own business fails and I can no longer sell my body on the streets, I can always go begging to her.
